About

I research and teach religious language, and most of my work focuses on issues affecting vulnerable people within religious communities, particularly the Christian church. My book, Introduction to Religious Language, was published by Bloomsbury in 2021.

I’m also interested in English for Specific Purposes and disciplinary discourse, particularly that of philosophy.
I publish in a diverse range of disciplinary areas and publications, both within academic and beyond.

I run the site Language and Religion.
