I am a folklorist and ethnomusicologist who worked as a Music Librarian and Professor for 34 years. I am still an active researcher whose interests include Finnish-American music and musicians, European-American fiddling traditions, ethnic music, the Baltic psalteries, and music bibliography. Ph.D. (1989) in Folklore and Ethnomusicology. Indiana University, Bloomington, Folklore Institute. Minors: Musicology, Finnish Studies. Dissertation title: “The Kantele Traditions of Finland.” 449 pp.
