About

I’m an MA creative writing student and assistant researcher at Concordia University, Canada. My poetry is haunted by borders, bureaucracies, and overdubbed soundscapes. As a researcher, I am interested in neglected modernist and spokenword archives, as well as in the performance of lyric selves.

Education

Currently, I’m an MA creative writing student at Concordia University, in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal), and an RA for SpokenWeb.

In 2020–2021, I worked as a researcher for the Centre for Theatre Studies of the University of Lisbon (CET/FLUL), editing some of Fernando Pessoa’s unpublished English dramas. From 2016 to 2019, I was a postdoc research associate at Brown University, researching the archives of Hubert Jennings and Fernando Pessoa, as well as leading the Journals@BDR open-access pilot. In 2015-2016, I was a CET/FLUL research fellow, working on both the print and digital editions of Pessoa’s Fausto.

I hold a PhD in Literary Studies from PUC-Rio, advised by Cleonice Berardinelli, with a thesis on Pessoa’s sonnets (2012). I also hold an MA in Literary Studies (2008) and a BA in Communications, with a specialization in Journalism (2005), both from PUC-Rio. Since 2015, I have been a member of the editorial board of Pessoa Plural. I have been involved in transdisciplinary projects inside and outside academia, such as facilitating the creation of integrated curriculum (GCE Lab School) and coordinating a nonprofit dedicated to ecological education (One to Trees).
