Jason A. Bartles is a writer and Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of Languages and Cultures at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. His work has focused on the intersections of literature, politics, and ethics in the 1960s and 70s in Cuba and the Southern Cone. His first book, ARTELETRA: Latin America in the Sixties and the Politics of Going Unnoticed is forthcoming at Purdue University Press. Recently, he has begun work on the cultural archives of the Malvinas/Falkland Islands and the potential for utopian thought today. Education
