Vanderbilt UniversityAssistant Professor of the Practice in Russian Language

  The Department of German, Russian, and East European Studies invites applications for an Assistant Professor of the Practice in Russian Language to join our expanding interdisciplinary department. This is a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track position with an initial term of three years.  Our ideal candidate will be skilled in Communicative Language Teaching practices. The successful candidate will serve as the Russian language program coordinator, will conduct Russian language instruction at all levels, and will coordinate study abroad and other immersion opportunities.

For full consideration, applications must be received by November 1, 2019. Preliminary interviews will be held via Skype in early December. For initial application, please submit cover letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of reference (at least one of which addresses language teaching), two sample syllabi (at least one language syllabus), a teaching statement that focuses on language pedagogy, teaching evaluations, and graduate school transcripts.
