The UCL School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES) is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Sociology. This post is part of SSEES’s current programme of academic investments and will make a critical contribution to the School’s unique mission.The post-holder will possess in-depth knowledge of the key theories and debates in Sociology and expertise in the application of qualitative research methods. They will also have area and linguistic expertise of at least one Central & East European country (including Finland) and/or Russia. It is anticipated that the post-holder will build on and complement the School’s existing strengths in areas such as migration, nationalism, gender/sexuality, and corruption and informality.The post-holder will specialise in conducting research into and the teaching of Sociology and its underpinning qualitative methodologies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, within the context of SSEES’s regional focus.The position will begin 1 September 2019, and the deadline to apply is 1 April 2019.For details and to apply, please see the SSEES web site under “Current Staff Vacancies”:https://www.ucl.ac.uk/ssees/current-vacancies
