    The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellowship related to the study of race and ethnicity to begin in August 2017. The full-time fellowship offers a competitive salary and includes full benefits as well as funds to support research and travel. Fellows are offered the opportunity to enroll in courses offered by the Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts’ Certificate in College Teaching Program, and to participate in a faculty development program that fosters excellence in teaching and scholarship.The successful candidate will also be paired with one or more tenured Holy Cross faculty members for mentoring purposes.

     
    The Fellow will teach three courses per year through the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies. Ideally, the candidate would be able to offer an introductory level course related to studies in race and ethnicity along with some combination of courses connected to the research interests of the candidate. The position is renewable for a second year, pending a successful first-year review.
    The position is open to candidates from any disciplinary background, but preference will be given to candidates with the ability to address issues related to the philosophical or psychological study of race and ethnicity or the intersection of art and race/ethnicity. Ideally, candidates will be able to bridge disciplinary divides and contribute to one or more of our interdisciplinary programs in Africana Studies, Asian Studies, Latin American and Latino Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies.
