    Duke University Libraries seeks qualified applicants for the position of Monographs Description Librarian in the Resource Description Department, Technical Services Division. This position is an opportunity for an early-career librarian to work at a major ARL member library invested in making significant contributions to discovery of library resources locally, nationally, and internationally. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills, the capacity to learn new skills, customer focus, and creative problem solving. We seek candidates who will thrive in an open, engaging atmosphere that focuses on large-scale movement of materials through workflows as well as continuous learning and sharing of knowledge amongst staff at all levels.

     

    Major responsibilities include cataloging monographic resources for the general library collections according to national standards; working across departments to maintain efficiencies and a seamless discovery experience; active participation in team and department, and division activities; and service to the profession.  You can see the full position description and requirements online.
