    The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Central Washington University is hiring a full-time Russian lecturer to teach Russian language courses at all levels during 2019-2020 academic year. The position is subject to enrollments and has potential for renewal.

    Required qualifications:

    •      Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English.

    •      MA in Russian Studies or closely related field.

    •      Experience teaching Russian language at a North American higher education institution.

    Preferred qualifications:

    •    PhD or ABD in Russian Studies or related field.

    •     Experience teaching Russian language at all levels.

    •      Ability to teach General Education humanities courses and Russian cultural history courses.

    •      Ability to teach another language offered in our department (ASL, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish).

    •      The ideal candidate will be able to teach all three levels of language courses as well as culture courses that are part of the department’s General Education offerings.
