Fellowships for Visiting Scholars
The Armenian Studies Program (ASP) invites senior scholars to apply for the Manoogian Visiting Scholar Fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The purpose of the Fellowship is to diversify the Armenian studies curricular offerings to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Michigan. Visiting Scholars, who are usually invited for one semester (Fall or Winter), will be asked to teach one class, participate in the ASP sponsored events, and present one public lecture. Fellowships can also be offered for mini-courses to be taught over three or four weeks. Preference will be given to candidates outside the disciplines of history, language, and literature. Previously awarded visiting scholars should wait seven years before applying for this program again.The scope and number of fellowships awarded is contingent upon the availability of funds.

Post-Doctoral Fellowships
The Armenian Studies Program (ASP) invites junior scholars to apply for the Manoogian Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The purpose of the Fellowship is to offer research and teaching opportunity to junior scholars in Armenian Studies. Fellows will be asked to participate in the ASP sponsored events, present one public lecture, and teach one undergraduate course in addition to conducting their research. Scholars are required to spend the 2018-19 academic year (September –August) in residence at the University of Michigan.ASP will award up to two one-year Post-doctoral fellowships for 2018-19 academic year.
Eligibility:
The PhD is the only eligible terminal degree. Applicants must have successfully defended their dissertation before the start of their potential tenure as Manoogian Fellows.
Applicants may be no more than three years out of their doctorate and they may not be tenured yet (may not be tenured during the fellowship year either).
Research and proposed course should be related to Armenian Studies (history, language, literature, culture, and politics).Benefits:
For the 2018-19 academic year, the Fellowship carries a stipend of $48,000 and a $2000 research/travel fund. Fellows will be eligible for the U-M high-quality benefits package.Application:

Electronic copy of dissertation. If dissertation is not complete at the time of the application, applicant should forward the completed parts with a detailed outline of the rest of the work. If dissertation is not in English, please provide a chapter in translation and other writing samples in English.

Pre-Doctoral Fellowships
The Armenian Studies Program (ASP) invites graduate students to apply for the Manoogian Pre-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The purpose of the Fellowship is to provide an opportunity to graduate students enrolled in doctoral programs at other universities in the US or abroad engaged in graduate-level research related to Armenian Studies to benefit from the resources of the University of Michigan (libraries, collections, faculty, and courses) for short or long periods of time. Applicants may have their own financing or could apply for funding from ASP.Eligibility:
Applicants must be enrolled in full-time graduate or professional degree programs
Applicants may be at preliminary or more advanced stages of their research
Research should be related to Armenian Studies (history, language, literature, culture, and politics).Application:
