With funding from the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) <https://www.caorc.org/>, the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) will be offering stipends for conducting lectures and/or workshops in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Georgia. We also have funds for co-sponsoring events in the South Caucasus. Funding is available on a competitive basis.

    Stipends for Lectures and Workshops

ARISC invites applications for U.S. scholars to conduct lectures and/or workshops in the South Caucasus countries of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.

All topics in the social sciences, humanities, and related sciences are eligible, and a list of preferred topics is included in the full call. Proposals will be judged on the quality of their academic caliber and on the impact to the local scholarly community. Selected applicants will be given a $200 stipend for a lecture, or $500 for an all-day workshop. All information must be received by Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in order for the applicant to be considered for the priority deadline.

Check out the full call on the ARISC website <http://arisc.org/?page_id=4659#Lectures>

    Co-Sponsorship Funds Available

ARISC invites requests for co-sponsorship funds for events related to the South Caucasus. All topics in the social sciences, humanities, and related sciences are eligible, and events must take place either in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Georgia. Requests will be judged on the quality of their academic caliber and on the value to the local scholarly community. All information must be received by Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in order for the applicant to be considered for the priority deadline. If funds remain after that time, applications will be accepted until funds are exhausted, at which time our website will indicate the competition closed for 2017-18.
