Applications open today for research fellowships at the Hoover Institution Library & Archives!

The Hoover Institution Library & Archives are pleased to offer competitive fellowships and support of up to $5,000 to support research based on our collections. The deadline to apply for fellowships is November 7, 2019. Recipients of fellowships are expected to complete their research at Hoover Library & Archives between February and August of 2020, spending a minimum of ten days in the Library & Archives. Decision announcements will be sent to applicants by November 25, 2019. Find the application here!

Award Descriptions:

· Silas Palmer Research Fellowship

Available to US undergraduate and graduate students, this fellowship provides an award of up to $5,000 to support research based on our collections

· Scholar Research Support

Available to US faculty, postdocs, independent scholars, and non-US faculty who hold a SSN or ITIN.* This support provides an award of up to $5,000 to support research based on our collections.

*International scholars subject to up to 37% tax

PLEASE NOTE: In preparation for a significant construction and renovation project that will prepare the Hoover Institution for its second century of activities, the Library & Archives reading rooms will be closed to researchers from December 24, 2018, to the early months of 2020. During this period, our collections and our public services will be unavailable, but our collecting, exhibition program, and other activities will continue.
