As many of you have heard, Dobro Slovo’s longtime Executive Secretary Professor Sandy Couch of Arizona State University has announced that he is stepping down as coordinator of the Slavic National Honors Society. We would like to express our deep gratitude for Prof Couch’s years of service. In order to continue this vital tradition, American Council  for Teachers of Russian (ACTR) has agreed to assume responsibility for Dobro Slovo in order to give the society the institutional support it needs. As we work to transfer the society’s administration, we are doing everything we can to make sure that your (likely virtual) initiation ceremonies can continue this year. With that in mind, we’d like to ask for your help.

    • If you are the Dobro Slovo chapter adviser for your institution (or if you would like to become one), please fill out the short form at this link (https://forms.gle/XdsZZWYCKVPrhy3r8) no later than Friday, April 2, and we will contact you directly with more information about this year’s inductions:
    • If you know of anyone who might be interested in information about Dobro Slovo but is not on SEELANGs [or wherever we post], please forward this message.

If you are interested in getting involved in the effort to help Dobro Slovo, please write any one of us (off-list, please).
