- Abstract:
- This article analyzes the reception and reactions in the Chilean political debate to the so-called “Prague Spring”, especially in the National Congress, in August 1968. Methodologically, the historical study consults primary sources, documents from the Historical Archive of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and press of the time, newspapers and magazines. Finally, different positions of local political actors are evident in the face of the events of the global Cold War, both in terms of justification of the facts and criticism of armed intervention.
