    Abstract:
Today, the urban space of the city of La Paz, B.C.S., is the subject of an intervention. Through political action public areas of the coastal boardwalk and historic center are renewed, sidewalks, gardens, streets, monuments and coastal promenade are renewed. This transformation of public space gives life to the process of turistification and seeks to integrate a socio-economic area of tourist consumption, where sites of traditional coexistence acquire another function and use, and with it, a new social meaning. The objective is to show what this urban process entails and generates in the city of La Paz, B.C.S. through the critical analysis of the discourse.
