- Abstract:
- Published in 1996 by EIRIS (Ethical Investment Research Service), this report analyses the holdings of significant Common Investment Funds (CIFs) in the United Kingdom according to seven sets of ethical investment criteria of likely interest to Charity investors. It is one of the first published studies of its type and contains a summary table at page 21 outlining the powers/authority available to charity trustees to take ethical factors into consideration when making investments in the light of the Bishop of Oxford case. The report's analysis is drawn from the EIRIS data set and methodology in use at the date of the survey in 1996. [Text written and edited by researcher Niaz Alam. The Head of EIRIS Research responsible for the overall methodology at the time was Karen Eldridge and Ros Haveman provided some of the data sets. Item stored for historical reference. All enquires regarding the original work and/or EIRIS should be directed c/o the EIRIS Foundation, London, UK)
