    Abstract:
In this work I respond to the problem of drawing metaphysical conclusions given the nature of transcendental arguments and their relation to man’s egocentric situation as put forth by Barry Stroud in his 1968 article “Transcendental Arguments”. From a Van Tillian, presuppositional perspective, I argue that Stroud’s criticism is not only incompatible with Van Til’s Transcendental Argument for the Existence of God, but moreover that he fundamentally misunderstands the nature of transcendental arguments and their relation to verification principles.
