- Abstract:
- Syllabus from my English 210 Course (Foundations of Literary Study I) taught at Michigan State University in Spring 2020. Course Description: In this course, you will develop and practice the skill of close reading literary texts, with attention to genre, form, and basic literary concepts. This is a foundational course for further study in literature and English. Within this specific section we will use the concept of “Travelling Across Space and Time” to focus on issues of culture, race, space, travel, time, and adaptation within our literary texts. We will study texts from each century from the 1300s - 2000s that traverse multiple countries and continents.
