- Abstract:
__________________________________________________________________________ Spain has a traumatic relationship with its own civil war, not to mention with Franquism. In 2020, with Franco already unburied and reburied, after the official ritual of humiliation and public abjection, we go back to two retroposts from 2010, dealing with the 2006 book 'Guerra Civil: Mito y Memoria', edited by Julio Aróstegui and François Godicheau. Retrospection always gives rise to insight, on the past, on the present, and on oneself. Keywords: Spanish civil war, Franquism, Historiography, History, Spanish history, Retrospection, Abjection,
