    Abstract:
    After the discoveries and experiences of Charles Wheatstone and David Brewster, the stereoscopic photography turns into a great industry from the second half of the decade of 1850. The photography in general and the stereoscopic especially had great influence in the iconographic world of his time and therefore also in the image or graphic representation of the romantic Spain. During the first decade of the photographic-stereoscopic industry many French editors and photographers came to Spain to make collections of view for marketing in Europe. These collections remain virtually unknown to the history of photography Spanish. Three of their best representatives were Gaudin, Lamy and Andrieu. His photographs had great influence on the romantic image of Spain, focusing its interests in the Andalusian cities with more vestiges Arabs as Seville and Granada. Spanish abstract: Tras los descubrimientos y experiencias de Charles Wheatstone y David Brewster, la fotografía estereoscópica se convierte en una gran industria a partir de la segunda mitad de la década de 1850. La fotografía en general y la estereoscópica en particular tuvieron gran influencia en el mundo iconográfico de su época y por tanto también en la imagen o representación gráfica de la España romántica. Durante la primera década de la gran industria fotográfica-estereoscópica muchos editores y fotógrafos franceses vinieron a España a realizar colecciones de vistas para su comercialización en Europa. Estas colecciones permanecen prácticamente desconocidas para la historia de la fotografía española. Tres de sus mejores representantes fueron Gaudin, Lamy y Andrieu. Sus fotografías tuvieron gran influencia en la imagen de la España romántica, centrando sus intereses en las ciudades andaluzas con más vestigios árabes como Sevilla y Granada.

    Este número de la revista "Cuadernos de la Alhambra", recoge las conclusiones del coloquio sobre historia de la fotografía que, bajo el sugerente título "Viaje imaginario y registro monumental en la fotografía del siglo XIX", tuvo lugar en marzo de 2008 en el palacio de Carlos V de la Alhambra.
