    Abstract:
    The following investigation has the main purpose to reconstruct the social and institutional work development by Doctor Arturo Uslar Pietri in the camp of Venezuelan education during the historic time that should be to live. Uslar Pietri practiced educational as a vocational way in diverse moments of his life, outstanding like Professor in different Venezuelan an American universities, acting like Minister of Education between 1939 and 1941, charge that let him promulgate the Law of Education from 1940 was worry for modernization of Venezuelan educational system. Likewise, Uslar Pietri was an innovator in the use of news didactic medias destined to mass teaching like the newspaper; his weekly column Pizarrón (Blackboard), and the television with his program Valores Humanos (Human Values). The Uslar Pietri's educational work is ample and deep, in it synthesizes his proposition to make “an education for the life” (1963), also it means a deep critic reflection about the reality and so prospective about Venezuelan educational model, that have to review to build and to encourage the Venezuelan an d Latin- American educational vision.
