    Abstract:
Archive report and ISAD(G) Fonds Level Description. This report briefly describes the Sarsen Stones in Wessex survey led by the Society of Antiquaries of London during the 1970s, and summarises its significance. A description of the physical format of its archive is based on a rapid survey of the collection at the Society of Antiquaries library carried out in October 2016, and with reference to the available hand-list. Key archival issues are highlighted (but this report does not constitute a full conservation assessment).
    Notes:
This report is associated with the document 'Sarsen Stones in Wessex Project transcription protocols', also available in the Humanities Commons CORE.
